MCL brings together a wide range of healthcare providers in one place, who have been treating patients with expertise and kindness for many years – and helping healthy people avoid falling ill.
Both Zdravstveni zavod ZZ Zdravje and Medicinski center Ljubljana were founded by thoracic surgeon dr. Marko Bitenc, dr. med., who also founded Kirurgija Bitenc at the Golnik Clinic (Klinika Golnik).
For decades he has successfully provided surgical treatment for lung cancer, reflux and hiatal hernia. Other specialist surgeons perform thyroid operations, herniated disc operations and other surgical procedures.
Thanks to decades of experience and the close link between outpatient diagnostics and surgical treatment, we can offer our patients a comprehensive approach to treatment and a well-organised path through their care, in line with international trends and standards.

Medicinski center Ljubljana (MCL) is a healthcare centre in Ljubljana that brings together a wide range of healthcare providers in one place.
The MCL centre grew out of a wish to make healthcare easier to access, so that people can get good-quality care as soon as they need it. Examinations and medical services are available on a self-pay basis, and some are also covered by public health insurance.
In one place we offer a wide range of healthcare providers covering many different fields of medicine – from family medicine and dental care to specialist surgical procedures.
