Juventina

Juventina is a partner clinic at Medicinski center Ljubljana. At the centre it runs the dermatology clinic. Treatment is self-pay, and booking is done directly with the clinic.

Skin, hair and nails

At Medicinski center Ljubljana, Juventina runs the dermatology clinic. Dermatology deals with diseases of the skin, hair and nails, and with mole checks.

The most common reason for a visit is a mole that has changed. A change in size, shape, colour or edges, itching, bleeding, and a sore that does not heal are signs worth showing a doctor.

The other part is skin diseases that keep coming back: acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, hives, fungal infections of the skin and nails, and hair loss. Treatment is self-pay and you do not need a referral.

Treatment that is often repeated

Many skin diseases are long-term. The aim of treatment is therefore often to keep the disease under control rather than a one-off solution, which means follow-up visits and adjusting treatment according to how the skin responds.

The same goes for moles. When a change is not suspicious, you often agree on monitoring and a repeat examination after a certain time; a comparison with the description from the previous examination is then the main yardstick.

Because treatment is handled by the clinic, you arrange follow-ups and ask questions during treatment directly with them. Keep reports from previous examinations and bring them with you.

Getting an appointment

Booking is handled by Juventina, online or by phone; both routes are equally valid. Appointments cannot be booked on this website, and the clinic's schedule is not published here.

The dermatology clinic at the centre is run by two providers, Juventina and ZZ Zdravje, both on a self-pay basis.

If you are coming about your nails or facial skin, come without nail varnish and without make-up. Bring the products and medicines you use on your skin.

A rapidly spreading rash with fever and feeling unwell, blisters over large areas of skin, involvement of the mucous membranes in the mouth or eyes, and swelling of the face or lips with difficulty breathing do not belong on a waiting list. Call 112.
