Juventina Baby
Juventina Baby is the paediatric clinic of Juventina at Medicinski center Ljubljana. At the centre it runs the paediatric clinic – under the ZZZS public scheme for children registered with one of its paediatricians, and on a self-pay basis for everyone else. Booking is done directly with the clinic.
The Juventina Baby paediatric clinic
Juventina Baby is the paediatric clinic of Juventina at Medicinski center Ljubljana, at Vilharjev podhod 7. At the centre it runs the paediatric clinic, which ZZ Zdravje also provides.
The clinic looks after children's health from the first days of life: it monitors development, carries out preventive check-ups and vaccinations, treats children when they are ill and advises parents on supporting healthy development.
It works both as a public (concession) clinic and as a self-pay clinic. Which one suits your child depends mainly on whether your child is registered with a Juventina Baby paediatrician.
Public (concession) clinic
The concession clinic is for children registered with a Juventina Baby paediatrician who have valid compulsory health insurance. For them, services covered by insurance are free of charge: preventive check-ups and vaccinations, examinations when ill, hip ultrasound for newborns and arranging carer's leave and accompaniment.
The number of children a paediatrician can take on in the concession programme is limited by the contract with ZZZS, so the clinic may be unable to accept a new child when it is full. A newborn brother or sister of a child already registered here is always accepted.
If the health insurance card has not been validated, you pay for the examination according to the ZZZS price list.
Self-pay clinic
The self-pay service is for parents who want quick access to a paediatrician, a second opinion or an additional consultation, and for children who are not registered with a Juventina Baby paediatrician. It is not tied to the concession clinic's surgery hours; appointments are arranged by phone or e-mail.
Additional services include hip ultrasound for newborns, removal of warts and molluscum, vaccinations outside the mandatory programme, and baby massage with advice on care and breastfeeding. Before any such service, the clinic tells you the price and asks for your consent.
Booking
Booking is handled by Juventina Baby; appointments cannot be booked on this website. For the concession clinic, book by phone on 01 235 08 70, in person during surgery hours or through the DoZdravnika portal, where parents also arrange prescriptions, referrals and appointments for routine check-ups and vaccinations.

If your child is ill, tell the nurse when you arrive, and they will take you into the clinic through the isolation room.
The clinic is closed at weekends, on public holidays and at night. At those times, go to the children's emergency service at ZD Metelkova; in a life-threatening situation, call 112.
