Medur

Medur is a partner clinic at Medicinski center Ljubljana. At the centre it runs the urology clinic. Treatment is self-pay, and booking is done directly with the clinic.

What to see the urology clinic about

At Medicinski center Ljubljana, Medur runs the urology clinic. Urology deals with the urinary tract in men and women – the kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra – and with diseases of the male genital organs.

People book because of problems passing urine, frequently getting up at night, recurring urinary tract infections, kidney stones, blood in the urine and questions about the prostate.

Treatment at Medur is self-pay, so you do not need a referral and you book yourself.

Two providers for the same clinic

The urology clinic at the centre is run by two providers, Medur and ZZ Zdravje. With both, treatment is self-pay and in both cases you do not need a referral.

The difference is in how you get an appointment. Each provider runs its own booking and its own schedule, so choose one and see the process through with them.

Follow-up examinations are usually arranged with the same provider where the first treatment took place. Keep the reports you have received and bring them with you.

Booking and what to bring

Booking is handled by the clinic. The link on the urology clinic page takes you to Medur's booking; appointments cannot be booked on this website, and the clinic's schedule is not published here either.

For the examination, bring reports from previous tests, especially laboratory results and previous PSA values, and a list of your medicines. If you have had kidney stones before, information about their composition is also useful, where it was determined.

If you are unable to pass urine, have severe pain in the lower back with fever and chills, or heavy bleeding from the urinary tract, do not wait for an appointment. Seek urgent medical help, and if things get much worse, call 112.
